i went to paris at the tail end of last week. it followed immediately after a huge work event, and after eight hours sleep across two days, so i felt pretty wretched on arrival. but, there is something satisfying about an early-morning journey that involves travelling through darkness to arrive at one’s destination at the start of the working day. i exited gare du nord at 9:30am and hot-footed it straight to mamiche, where i bought a divine cheesy bread stick that I devoured, moments later, on the pavement outside. these postcards from the past week are mostly from the weekend in paris.
